When I designed the 4th wall in the previous comic “Timeflix“, the obvious thought that came to mind was… “Well, who’s watching them NOW?”
Must be the “5th Wall”!
It just seemed obvious that the difference would be the audience can actually talk to the characters – not be just passive observers. And the best place for audience participation would be through social media.
I don’t usually get nasty feedback like this. Ok, Maybe on Reddit. That place is mean as hell. But it seemed funnier that the 5th wall was kind of a bunch of jerks. Reddit-style.
Yeah, I’ve had some negative experience with reddit, myself. The first time I was there, it was full of trolls. The second time (a few years later) wasn’t as bad. Actually, I’ve run into internet trolls in other situations as well. I love constructive criticism, but trolls are useless.
I guess when the system is all about voting, people express their opinions…. Maybe a bit too much
Oh, nice! Now we need Trump’s wall and China’s Great Wall so all the walls are back together.
Maybe Trump’s wall is the 6th wall
Generally internet comments are a pretty horrible place. The 5th wall is full of buttheads!
Especially on Reddit
