TODAY’S COMIC: “BUGGAH”
“Buggah” (bug-uh): A word uttered by female toddlers meaning “bug”.
Introducing Luna; The little girl who’s afraid of spiders. I intend to feature Luna as often as I can, but for now, she’s simply a part of this mini story.
“Buggah” is what my toddler daughter calls a “bug”. It’s one of her favorite words. She loves buggahs.
I had a hard time designing Luna. I came up with 2 or three versions of her before settling on what is in this comic strip. I have a feeling she isn’t done evolving.

Very funny. I’ve pulled a lot of spiders out of little girl hair.
Im sure its an attractive place for spiders to hunt… and then get tangled. I can only imagine the screams of a little girl who has a spider in her hair. I’m sure I’ll find out some day.
Another great comic John! She reminds me of my sister in law.. She’s so freaking scared of spiders haha! My 7 year old daughter loves spiders tho.. She picks them up like its candy, lol!
Thanks, Man! I would hope your daughter doesn’t get bit! most spiders aren’t as nice as Jack.
Sure thing John! Luckily we dont have any dangerous spiders over here in the Netherrea.. Netherlands, so i think Jack and the gang must feel right at home over here!
Poor Luna. John how could you? JK JK. Although I must admit I’ve lived through a spider on the hand. Talk about a girl screaming. Yikes O_O Hmmm, so actually, the reaction is spot on. Thumbs up! 🙂
Interestingly, the real Luna is not afraid of bugs at all. Because of “Skitter”, she thinks all buggahs are interesting. We’ve been trying to instill a healthy respect for bugs. “No, don’t play with the anthill!”
