“Direct Message”
This happens a lot to me on Twitter. Someone follows me… I follow back… then I immediately get a robo DM asking me to follow them elsewhere. It’s annoying.
Through Jack, I’m expressing what I WANT to do… and SHOULD do… but I keep ’em around so my follower count looks better.
Having said that, maybe I’m just as phony as they are… lol
Last week I was behind schedule on drawing comics. Over the weekend I had to finish one and crank another out to stay on track. I was almost finished with the second when Kate says, “I’ve been thinking about your comic and I think there’s a better way to do it.” She was right. Her new idea was better and it actually used Skitter characters as opposed to MY version, which was a random one-shot.
Knuckles cracked, I started a third comic. Finished it in record time right before I had to go to oil painting class. That’s THREE comics in one week! The one I’ve abandoned will only be available on Patreon, though, since it wouldn’t make sense to post 2 comics about the same subject.
Luna
In other weekend news, Luna wanted to draw with her markers. She’s 2 years old, so her art is always giant scribbles. I got her sketchbook out, she grabbed a gray marker and proceeded to scribble. I asked her what she’d drawn… “A ghost!… a Pac Man ghost!” Holy crap if she wasn’t right! I showed 3 other people, including my oils teacher, and they all said, “That’s a ghost”. My teacher even picked up on the Pac Man aspect.
Oh… and Luna can now immitate Chewbacca’s gurgle, Darth Vader’s breathing, R2D2 beeping, and a stormtrooper shooting a blaster. That’s all new this weekend as well.
Yeah, I know what you’re thinking… “Big deal. Everyone thinks their own kid’s a genius.”
Well… guilty as charged.
If you followed me on Twitter I promise that won’t happen with me. 😀
Then get to following!
