SKITTER Comic Strip

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This is a really simple comic strip that took forever to complete.

The first obstacle was that I caught a cold and couldn’t work on it much for a couple days.

The second obstacle was simply that I couldn’t figure out what the dialogue was gonna be!

Not that I drew it without dialogue. I always do the words first. But as I was drawing it… as is usually the case… I realized it didn’t work.

I wanted to do a strip where Luna was doing something at bug size. The idea of her and Jack piloting a paper airplane seemed fun. But the dialogue was eluding me. Today I spent about 5 hours just trying different ideas.

Frustrated, I removed the dialogue completely… and it worked! I think.
