I wanted to do a strip where Luna took the knee instead of giving a speech in school.
But what should the speech be about that would make sense for her ‘protest’?
I looked up the date for Presidents Day this year and it was almost the exact date for the next strip! Weird that it worked out so perfectly!
So I created a strip where Luna had to give a speech about a president on Presidents Day! Once I was all done, it dawned on me that there’s no school on Presidents Day. Luna wouldn’t be giving a speech.
I changed it to a report on Thomas Jefferson and removed the mention of President’s Day. I’m still going to release it on Presidents Day, which is a day earlier than I normally would.
