I’ve had this strip ( or rather a different version of it ) bouncin’ around in my head for a long time. I finally got around to drawing it up, but it didn’t feel right.
The original idea was to make fun of how everyone seems to think their spirit animal is a wolf. I mean, you never hear anyone say, “My spirit animal is a kiwi.” Kiwis just ain’t cool.
But the original idea made fun of Native Americans, who weren’t even my intended targets. I showed Kate and asked her what she thought. She suggested changing the subject to the actual offenders.
So I came up with a completely different joke that had the same basic idea as the first version, but made fun of the real offenders. I don’t even have a label for who they are, but I think you’ll get it.
I think this is a way better comic than the original.
Mine is a Raven, apparently.
How do you know?

Sometimes the biggest laugh is in the comments. Mr. Bennet, that was brilliant.
